About the Author
Emelou Thibodaux writes and illustrates fantasy rooted in what she calls "speculative empathy"—creating living, breathing alien ecosystems and non-human creatures that invite connection rather than fear. Armed with a degree in wildlife biology and a love for traditional and digital artwork, Emelou brings meticulous ecological design and heartfelt storytelling to every world she builds. She lives in West Virginia, where she operates an independent creative studio alongside her husband, two cats, two dogs, and far too many sketchbooks.
